Hello, can you please tell me who has gotten them already, how are the bass? I was originally choosing penon turbo, but pao2 are very praised, and judging by the review bass in them is less. I’m afraid that I just don’t have enough bass on electronica and rock - I love basshead iems. But on the other hand, if pao2 are better than turbo, I will naturally order them. Choosing headphones for Hiby rs6. Please advise me how to go about it.
either way I think I’m still set to get Hype 4 as well at 11.11 since I’ve never owned a Thieaudio before lol
Took the plunge on this bad boy as well!
Monk’s a bad influence. Jk…
Had mine dispatched this morning, with a note to say that they’ve valued it at $37 which is a nice touch from them. I was a little concerned they might declare the full value and then I’d get hit with customs and import tax.
Also ordered the Oriveti OD200’s this morning so it’ll be nice to compare the two. Both have had glowing reviews and I’m curious to hear how they both sound in comparison.
That’s nice! Will give it a listen later tonight. Any impressions you might have and can share after the comparison?
It has the best balance in that demo.
I can hear too much 3kHz on the other sets. They impart that “clacky” BA timbre.
Especially Volume but even Yume 2 offends me.
Bass has most slam & bounce on PA02 too.
The Softears Volume is great for vocal and singer/songwriter stuff.
The Yume 2 is my generalist set with the best treble replay in a hybrid.
The PA02 is now my 1st choice for gritty guitars and epic drumming. I’m a big fan of paper DDs like in the Penon Serial and the Shanling Sono. Compared to the Serial the PA02 has better treble extension. Compared to the Sono a more mature tuning.
Genres that shine with the PA02: Stoner Rock, Sludge, Grunge, AOR
Genres with slower guitars and heavy drumming. They might not perform so well with Speed Metal and alike. The paper driver is on the slower side which give them a vintage analog sound.
OMG, PA02 should be a no brainer for me! You just described my favorite music.
Upon intensely critical listening and comparing, I realized I don’t have to do that.
Especially when I cranked the volume, not the IEM, it became very obvious.
Pula sounds wider, more dynamic, more balanced, more natural and more detailed than either. Well, it’s more accurate to say it has a higher sense of inner resolution but is a smidge less detail oriented due to non-boosted pinna.
Honestly like it’s a full tier above the others.
The Bqeyz Wind will have to hold me over until next week.
Great Video and love the comparisons!
Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on them!! Should be watching it shortly. Mine should be here Wednesday
What is the piano piece?
Enjoyed it brother
Tingvall Trio - Beat
Very beautiful, just stunning! Please post a photo of them, if it’s not too much trouble
Is this a stock cable?
