What does the dip on 5khz mean??
Since HiFiGo has listed the Anvil 114 on Amazon for $199.99 yet being ātemporarily out of stock,ā perhaps you might be āgood to goā in terms of releasing your review since details now are public? The faceplates on this IEM are quite stunning. The overall frequency response graph looks quite nice as well.

Hey this came in tonight! Itās a nice chill set, Iām pretty impressed. Feels strong and fun. No glaring weakness. Fun set, with a beautiful case, nice tips. Iām impressed at the unboxing experience!

Iām wondering what would be a better buy?
Arul Performer 5+2 or Pula Anvil.
I had the Penon Fan 3 and loved it, the bine conduxtion albeit subtle was very nice. But I hot the Jyoe 4 at the same time and felt it was better in everything except the way the vocal sextion is treated on thieaudio sets.
I just donāt like it, Penon does vocals way better, more pleasing sweet and natural. And highs are never bothersome.
I sold both and looking to get a new set now.
And these two came on to my radar and the pricing is killer!

Hard to say at this time. Iāll try to compare both in My Pula review. Very early, just enough to say the Anvil is a good iem so far.

Just a quick question, which do you think has ābetterā vocals? Mind I did not like how they sound on Hype 4, despite You loving the set.
I like smooth, rich, natural sounding vocals, mybe even analogue ( Iām in love with Penon for that reason )

Can the pool compete with Binary Dynaquattro? Iām delighted with it but the size is too big, does the pot also have a smooth and analog DD sound? without BA timbre?

I was going to get the Penon Fan 3, but at $399 would have to wait. Just ordered the Anvil for $189. Still might get the Spark i think it is or the fan 3 when i move and have more cash. I am really super interested in how these BC sets will do with the Grateful Dead shows on Tidal.
Most reviews say how good BC is for live recordings so i cant wait!
You should have signed up to Penon email list, they send out discount xodes. Fan 3 can be bought 50% off for 175$.
I jad it and regret selling it, it did not impres me at all at first. But after a day, when i gave it a proper listen and understood what they were going for? It is a gem.
The BC enhances the soundstage, the effect is not ānight and dayā but it is there nonetheless.
The separation is affected a well, it is very good.
And donāt get me going about Penon Vocals, a masterpiece.
I only wish the bass was a bit more elevated for my library. And they could have thrown 1 more BA in there to have the whole range covered more evenly.
But for that 175$ with the code?
A no brainer instant buy. Ah, getting the space cable is highly advised, it was designed with it in mind. Thatās why it is 50% off in the bundle.
I wanted a bit more dynamics and more bass, so I just ordered the ISN H60 with the Penon OCC849 cable and LSTIC tips, their new product.
All that for les than regular H60 price, thanks to 11.11

Holy whatever expletive you want to use- i love this Anvil so farā¦and i am only 20 minutes into listening.
Like the movie Harlem Nights -guy is at the bar and meets a beautiful woman. He calls his wife and says he isnt coming back. Thats how i feel about my other iems.
93% of the time when using iems i listen to the Grateful Dead live recordings thru Tidal. I know there are better uality recordings out there but i havent wanted to put in the time to find. Other iems sound darn good, but this takes it to a whole other level for me.
I am not an audiophile and i cant tell you about timbre or what have you, but i can tell you i put on 6-16-1974 andā¦oh wait i first connected the 4.4 or whatever the size connector on wrong. Sounded terrible. I pulled it out and found the notch. I put on Bad Guy (eilish) and then cuss words (too short). Satisfied it was correct, i went back to 6-16 (road trips version) and within 3 notes of China Cat Sunflower my body was dancing evem though i am in bed.
Honest to goodness in the transition to I Know you Rider i smelled a puff of weed. I dont smoke weed anymore, but damn i visualized it.
I skipped ahead after that, smile pasted so wide on my face it hurt, to Eyes of The World. I could notice some recording noise (its only a 50 year old recording) but wow am i there. The jam is getting so deep and thick, calling it avant garde is an understatement. The wall of sound is going on all around me. I can follow the drums but the bass catches my attentionā¦which guitarist should i follow, the one on the left or the one on the right? Damn, there is Lesh again doing what feels right on bass. The keys pop in and out of Bobās picking.
Nope, i dont think there is any going back. I will hold on to the other iems until i move, but i dont see how it could get any better than this.
Well, i could turn it up a little.
If i can get thru Playing in the Band with my sanity it will be a miracle.
