I have a couple of balanced DACs that feature both XLR and RCA outputs, but I am not currently using any balanced amplifiers. I would like to use both outputs to go to two single-ended amplifiers, one a headphone amplifier and the other a speaker amplifier. I know I can do this by using XLR to RCA cables from the balanced outputs. The question is whether using XLR to RCA cables will result in any kind of signal degradation? Obviously, I realize that the signal will no longer be balanced, but will there be any detrimental effect on the signal?
