Having just gotten i to streaming and an external dac this year, i have a question. My dac is a topping d10 and i am using amazon music hd. My laptop goes up to 32/384khz. But most of the hd tracks on there are 24/44.1khz. So should i set my laptop to the max or go with the 24/44.1? Srry if this is silly, but i am struggling with wrapping my head around something that isnt a jukebox, vinyl album or a cd😬. Appreciate any expertise.
Not a silly question. If you are using Windows 10, sometimes 32 Bit causes issues with certain DACs. I normally set mine to 24/192 or 24/96 depending on what application I am using. 24/96 is the safest bet until you start getting into FLAC that exceeds that bitrate.
