What a wonderful, distinctive drummer. I revisited all the Cream in my collection and added a few of the BBC shows as well. With time, my appreciation of his contribution has overshadowed Clapton’s. I saw them live at Winterland but I was enthralled by Eric’s smoking licks at the time.
It’s such a wonderful time that we can revisit the past with so much music available. Live Cream Volume I (1970) and Live Cream Volume I (1972) should not be missed.
