Million doesnt go as far as it used too.

For instance a track home built fifty years ago in ca. usa lists for over $700,000.

Stocks rise faster than inflation can keep up.

Also, GME is a laughable game. You either in on the “game” or being fucked over by those who are just joining in.

GME is a good laugh. I have 3 shares because imo the potential for gain is much higher than losing the price of a schiit stack. Still, scary to see some people are throwing life savings and stuff into it…

…I will take cheap but good sounding Koss headphones all day than some fucking shitty AirPods with an expensive branding that is against convenience and functionality. Also the fact Apple is one of those companies that want to remove third-party repair, pretty much justifies my hatred on them even further.

Also, they are the ones who instigated to remove the headphone jack and now other dumbasses follow suit, all of that because of “courage”. Fuck you Apple!

Funny thing, I had some AMC shares like back when they were like $2.40 or something super low. Then the circlejerkers took over and tried GME and AMC and like a dozen others until GME really took off.

Made some good money off that AMC before it dropped. :ok_hand:

But I wouldn’t recommend people buy into the hype. I was already established far, far before these circlejerk groups were even thinking about it. I just have to have the right shares at the right time.

For anyone reading: Short selling (what we’re talking about) is all a gamble. I’m borned and raised in Vegas. Take it from a local: Only gamble with money you’re literally willing to burn for fun. If you wouldn’t take a match to a $100 to see what it burns like, don’t buy stocks.

I have a hard time believing people that are barely surviving are looking into buying dac/amc stacks.
Maybe for a PS5 I would see it, as it’s an escape from what is barely a life.

But when you’re making decisions like “which bills do I pay this week so the creditors/providers don’t sue me”, you’re not thinking about no Schiit stack.

The only way out of that is by earning more, and no amount of saving or living below your means will get you out of it.

Kind of a rant.
How come am I always so much stressed about leaving jobs.

Just got official offer from company which I already said I’m accepting. I really want to go there. I guess I am going there. It’s just this stress that comes with realising I have to tell about this in my current one.

Every fuckin time I got issues with that part, every time it’s fine after all and yet it’s stressing me out so much.

Thanks brain.

I moved across the country with 300 dollars and a backpack. No family, no job prospects, no friends and God made a way for me. I have discovered in my life when I lean on myself, I freak out. When I lean on God, it all works out and I get a peace beyond my understanding in the process.

I know the feeling. Especially when the job was good, but it’s just time to move on.

It’s like ripping a bandaid. Have a snack, drink some water, then make the phonecall.

Thanks for sharing this. I can’t lean on God as I don’t believe.
Also, this situation really isn’t bad for me, it’s actually really good. It’s just my brain thinking of all possible dark scenarios and so on.

Situation you described is much tougher than mine

Exactly, I thought it would be easier if I hated current job

So gamestop a bad trade ? Guess you can cash out the $1m and buy a fixer upper in detroit. Musk picked up stake and moved to texas.

Living below your means would mean you don’t have debt accumulating in the first place.

Living below your means is not maximizing the value.

Living below your means enables you to leverage compound interest to achieve greater value.

Ah but of course, just stop being poor.

People have no idea how much money they can make when they’re not paying out interest on debt constantly…

Why do people argue against financial responsibility by talking about people living in poverty or below minimum wage? These are edge cases who need help from others. The vast majority of people living outside of their means need to help themselves. Or not. Fuck if I care. Spend all your fucking money and never become wealthy. Just recognize that it’s your choice.
