I did this. But in LEGOā¦
Does it resolve humanityās enemies to within .00002 THD+N?

I was totally starting to wonder if I was just telling myself that the RebelAmp was better. After over two weeks of ownership, I decided it was time to put it to the test. Luckily, my family lives fairly close by and my sister has a Magni Heresy. Took a quick trip and plugged in my trusty HP-3ās andā¦ it was so lifelessā¦ RebelAmp is love.
Agree. I keep telling myself that I donāt really need a second one so that I can have one at work and one at home. However, Iām not sure that Iām listening, because I keep checking the product page to see if theyāre in stock.
hey hey hey please wait for those of us wanting to get our first oneā¦
I have noticed that using the Medium gain setting, it sounds a bit brighter than using the Low gain setting. Is that normal?
cant tell u the last time I play wit legos. Aint allowed close to schools or toystores nemore umm ummm.
Last time i was at a school i talked to kids. it was a job day thing. Tellin bout how i started with marijuana. teacher did not like me. Didnt pay me tho ummm
This is definitely wrong. low gain works much worse than other gains. This can be seen if you test the amp. In low gain the sound is muddyā¦ This is probably a circuit design flaw.
I know the Schiit Magni does this, but usually gain should just get it louder with a higher noise floor.
That happens with some amps, when you change the gain itās still the same circuit but operating with different parameters. It depends completely on how the amp is designed.
Thank you for the reply. I donāt think you read my post as I intended though. I think the Medium gain is brighter (maybe thereās a better way to describe this) and sounds slightly better. Low gain sounds very good, but itās like the treble has a hat on. This might just be nitpicking though because the Low gain still sounds tons better than my THX 789.
I would try using high gain more, but itās too loud with my 250ohm headphones.
THX 789 amp built on ICs. This is not class A and will always lose. But the measurements show that the Rebel distorts the sound at high frequencies with low gain.
Iāve heard some excellent non class a designs, the thx just isnāt one of them lol
Finally just convinced a friend to trade his rebelamp for some cash + a topping a90, very curious to see what the amp is about (kinda seemed like he was getting the raw end of the deal so I threw in some extra lol)
Looking forward to hearing your impressions and what DAC you pair it with.
Also pretty curious, still waiting on the bifrost to ship lol
He wasnāt willing to just let you borrow it for a while?
Heās the kinda person to buy and sell gear just to try all the time, so he most likely would be bored with it when I send it back to him, so we are just doing a trade at this point. I guess the a90 was enough to intrigue him lol, the aune x8 wasnāt
