Hey guys, figured id drop a thread seeing if anybody had some recommends of late that they believe would be good in this criteria. I don’t really feel my recent order, HDB 630, will suit this criteria too well. Already sat with Fiio Ft-1 closed and open, meze aer, and aune ar5000. I try to keep the budgets maxed out around $300 usually but if anybody has some suggestions that’d be cool, let me know. I will check back later see if anybody had any suggestions, thanks in advance.
A new gaming IEM…
I have a feeling the Fiio JT7 is gonna be decent when they drop (I think they’re technically released but mine still hasn’t shipped yet) and at $110 it could be a steal but it does look a little bright and seems like it follows a diffuse field tuning with a little bit of a bass bump and some pulled back ear gain (stagey?).
looked good till I heard that microphone 
I would immediately knock 2 or more points off my rating scale for that alone. No excuse for a $300 headset coming out with a bad microphone when you have $70 wireless headsets coming out with far clearer vocality. I might still sit with it later because I am curious but I would just immediately remove that microphone and swap to something like a meze boom mic. If this was wireless, they may have an excuse but it’s wired.
