Recommendation for DAC+AMP combo for KIWI Ears Orchestra Lite

Please provide me your valuable suggestions on an ideal/matching DAC AMP combo to enhance the treble and add brightness/air/sparkle to the Kiwi Orchestra lite. It would be great if it also can accentuate the sub bass a bit.

Thank you

Trying to solve your needs with hardware is not the correct or sensible way to go.

Apply some EQ / DSP to get the response you seek.

Failing that hunt down and buy an IEM that has a frequency response curve that is more to your preference.

thank you for that suggestion. i will surely explore it.
Allow me to rephrase my necessity as:
i am looking for a synergistic DAC/AMP combo to go with some iems I have.
so how to go about it? Like, is there any thing I can look up to start the search…the basics of learning the synergy of DAC/amps and iems.

Hey buddy I know you wanted suggestions on a chain that would work well with your Orchestra Lite and you did post it in the correct place :+1:…but it’s pretty IEM specific so I’ve moved it here as these guys have way more experience with IEM’s and how they respond to different sources etc…hope that’s ok :+1:

Anyone?

thank you so much Sir.

Either use PEQ or try some other tips. Wide bore usually adds treble for most people.

yes sir. I bought tri clarion for this specific purpose. Actually , i am neither an expert nor a fan of EQ, old school guy i guess.

Radius Deep Mount, JVC Spiral dots or Azla Sedna tips. Are the usual go to wide-bore/treble tips.

Radius Deep Mount, JVC Spiral dots not avalible here Sir, Azlas are. Which Azla can fit the requirements?

all of them will work.

sir i am a regular to your squig page. I saw you listed both KOL and DT800 frgs. Can i ask you which sources (DAC/AMP) you use generally with them. You can also recommend me a dongle as i am seeking a budget option.

What? I dont know those 2.

This is my squig: https://rg.squig.link/

I use the Schiit Asgard 3 with Topping E30 with everything.

Dongle wise I recommend the jcally JA3 for ultra portable use.

^^^ This…Transducer/'s > Tips > Amp > Dac…without EQ’ing then tips will make the biggest difference…way more than a dongle :+1:

sir i was referring to these on your page
actually wanted to regain the treble areas undercut by the Kiwi.

this i did not know at all sir.
thank you.

aa, u meant the T800 (not DT800). If u want that kind of change, you can only do it using PEQ or to a lesser degree by using an impedance adapter.

Maybe 80ohm will be much closer. But looks like you would get both more bass and more upper-mids/lower-treble.

yes i meant t800.
thank you for the suggestions sir,

amps and dacs wont change the sound of your iem at all
so you have to eq but EQing treble without distortion and clipping is hard tbh specially for 70+ volums.
i suggest getting other iems that have actual air and upper treble.

just need a negative preamp. PEQ is usually fine, regular EQ though, that is shit.

that just lowers the volume to avoid the iem getting clipped or distorted

but the treble area of orchestra lite is somehow smooth and doesn’t have sharp peaks or dips so it probably responds well to eq. he has to try it anyways since i got no kiwi ears orchestra lite on my hands.
