Hey all,
Trying to find a quick fix to a problem… lady of the house wants some wrap around ear buds that aren’t complete and total junk. she went and bought the beats pro 2 and its been nothing but issues, sound is junk, mic is definitely junk. No amp/dac in use. Use case is phone and computers. better bang for bucks obviously preferred. Anybody got a suggestion?

You can just get the Apple Airpod Pro 2 and get some ear wrap hooks for them.

There aren’t a ton of good True wireless options. There are a few from IEM companies like the Robin from Moondrop (But you won’t be able to get earhooks for them), but for something that you can get with an earhook, the airpods pro 2 is basically it. It’s the best one and it’s actually pretty well tuned. The ANC and mic is also good.
Does it have to be buds? otherwise maybe…
haven’t tried anything last couple years but the anker stuff I’ve tried is solid
nah, trust me I tried this cause I own these already. She is absolutely dead set on true wireless buds. She struggles heavily with fit hence the over ear loop. Have told her we could try other tips though so while I am in the process of test running that with her I figured I would dig into some potential alternatives.
Tips are a make or break for any IEM, but once you’ve got the right size then you’re most of the way there. Has she tried both silicon and foams?
Mainly just the cheaper plastics that you find in really costless ear buds. Have mentioned about better silicone and foam so that’s what I am currently in the process of
