Does it stay well on ears? Always been curious about 2 cores
Stays fine on me unless I do something silly like bend over and have my head upside down then the cable dislodges from behind my ears (the IEMs stay in, but that is good tip fitment more then the cable). To be fair I don’t know of any cable that would stay put like that though. Other then that it stays just fine, doesn’t kink due to being straight strands, feels soft on the parts that touch my neck and almost disappears unless I am concentrating on it. So just about perfect.
Just tried with the cable behind my back, which I only use when in VR and not on these IEMs and stays nicely even like that.
Think I might just order 3 more in .78 and 3 in mmcx to have on hand the next time I get an IEM I dislike the cable on. Seems like a much better use of $150 dollars worth of cables then buying some overpriced neo dimondium super cable.
The cable is heavy, does not improve the sound much! Only his appearance is beautiful! very inconvenient, bad deal !!!
Oh boy. Here we go…
I do agree its on the heavy side. Can you recommend some cables that improve sound quality?
Agree, would love to hear your suggestions.
Sorry you don’t like it. I disagree. I love mine a lot. Though as I have stated many times, I do prefer slightly heavier cables. The XINHS Graphene ticks all my checkboxes for an awesome cable. I even had XINHS build me a custom Graphene cable for my full sized HE6se.
That is awesome.
Great idea from you, great execution from XINHS. Do you mind sharing the total cost, to compare to Dunu/FiiO adaptables?
Normal price of the cable and adaptors, plus 10 bucks for the mini xlrs you can only so it on no thick cores tho, according to Xinhs.
Modular system is better, but I’d avoid Fiio’s and get Dunu’s.
It is a very good budget option from what I can see though. But yeah, Dunu´s system is the best from what I know.
DUNU’s is great and unfortunately I have to wait another day fo try the Fiio one since somehow my FD3 pro was delayed in transit inside the amazon distribution center…
Also avoid Moondrop’s modular system.
My main problem with Fiio’s system is not just the plugs itselves. They are mmcx only, as far as I know. All my iems are 2pin aside from fh3 that I dont rly use.
Right. I know Dunu’s system is best, but this seems like the most affordable, while still being high quality and pretty convenient. I’ll be keeping it in mind! I’ve always kept the Dunu cables with the IEMs when I’ve sold them on to keep the full value is the package, and they’re too expensive on their own (for me).
Yeah, it’s cheaper but keep in mind it gives the cable a slightly more weight, but nothing big. Great for desk usage tho.
If you get it on a cheaper cable, you get off with some money in the bank
I use the plugs on 3 different sources, so its nice to have. I already own adaptors for my other customs tho. This was, as said before, a proof of concept.
Gotta say I love it more every minute!
PS: If @rattlingblanketwoman or anyone else is thinking about asking this custom from Xinhs, just show him my pictures. You can also PM me and I’ll help you with the process
Another custom I asked Xinhs to do, and its on the way with the Lands cable.
Base is A1 on Riku’s list. I already own 2 of this cables. Amazing quality.
This is meant to be ultra light and to use with MMCX earbuds. Striped to 4 cores, waive braiding, 4.4mm, no ear hooks or slider.
Which cable
4 Cores Graphene Alloy Silver Plated Wire MMCX 0.78mm 2 Pin Replacement Headphones Cable Audio Upgrade Cable
GUCraftsman 6n silver 0.78mm 2Pin 64audio a12t/u12 TIA Fourte Oriolus re2000 Legend X iSINE20 VE8 Headphone Upgrade cable
Which one is better
Whatever you like the most.
Whatever has better confort for you.
Whatever your wallet doesn’t mind to pay.
Anybody know a good replacement for FiiO’s FD5 cable? That’s the best one ive had my hands on
Depends on what you want out of the cable. If you want modularity then the Dunu line are amazing I prefer the 02 because I like lighter cables. If you don’t care about modularity then Riku’s google doc in his profile has a lot of really good inexpensive cables to suite almost any need/style
