Very strange, so the tv is the real issue
Random guess, but my guess is that the ARC wants to retrieve audio from HDMI although I set my audio to optical. The visual is still being present via HDMI
Could be, and on that particular input optical still shows as pcm? (final check)
Yes, I set all possible audio settings to PCM, but with my luck, I am sure there is some stupid menu with another bitstream vs PCM setting.
I’ll see if giving up ARC in the future will be worth it. It’s super finicky on my Samsung/Onkyo duo anyways.

The reason it isn’t working is just bizarre to me, because I don’t see what would reasonably be preventing it from working if the optical to receiver works
