Speaking of Dunu cables have you ever tried their Lyre cable?
Still looking for a light(ish) weight dark copper color (or similar) modular cable for the 3DT.

All I got is the DUW-03 (Zen) and the DUW-02S (EST112)
Okay, it was the cable for the DK3001 pro so I didn’t know if you ever tried that IEM.
Nope, but it was on my radar (along with the DK2001).
I think the video reviewers think it’s good like their ‘tuning’, but agree technicalities and soundstage etc is just average. Whereas that other forum most keep talking how good the technicalities are of the Bravery. So the youtube reviewers are more ‘nuanced’ whereas the other forum are just ‘shilling’ IMO.
Anyways hyped for your Falcon Pro review
I almost never count soundstage as good or bad, mainly because I don’t see a smaller soundstage as a bad thing or a larger one as a bad thing. Just a difference in presentation. A smaller SS is a lot harder to get proper imaging and separation, but as long as that is achieved an smaller intimate soundstage can be quite nice.
Indeed, although It might take a bit longer than usual, since it does have 3 filters. (not sure if I will go through all 3 of them, like I did for the LZ A7 lol.)
I guess, I do enjoy bigger soundstages though, so for me, a “better” soundstage = bigger.
From what I have noticed, it seems that having a smaller soundstage gives an edge to imaging. Like if you imagine soundstage as being a quantitative factor and imaging being qualitative.
(like how having more bass quantity usually means the quality is lower.)
Im with both. I like both.
Sometimes I want to be on an opera theatre, sometimes I wanna be jamming with the band in a garage. Moods 🤷
If I only could pick one: giant soundstage.
haha, yeah. Mood will decide a lot of things in this hobby tbh.
And some genres (like Hip-hop) arent really meant to be used with something with huge soundstages anyway. While some are almost mandatory (like Live and orchestral).
Exactly. I wanna listen to vivaldi with a big soundstage, but jam with my boy kendrick lamar very close.
Its like tuning, basicly.
Yeah I prefer soundstage all the way, vibing my favorite game’s OST is such a mood.
Indeed, my library has a lot of stuff that sounds better with a bigger soundstage. So its no surprise I end up liking bigger soundstages in general as well.
That reminds me I found my use case for the CCA NRA. It has become my preferred IEM to go with my retro emulation handhelds. It’s tuning matches so very well with the 8/16 bit sound chips used and their unique sound signatures.
never had those.
Same, I have never had those in my Asian life.
I own about every console/handheld up to the the PS2 (then less and less of each successive generation). I mostly emulate now though since it gives so many added creature comforts.
Listening to 8 bit tracks with the stuff I have. Make me think of when people use their super high end gaming Pc’s to play minecraft.
