I had the ATH-EW9 very shortly before I broke it (rip).
Yes, it was a one way ticket to tinitus. Oddly I liked it, but it was not healthy to use. Great build and fit at least, as well as good resolution imo.

The gold/copper wire is this one:
While the sterling silver is this one:
Looks like the i88 mini got too much treble for me, although it might be balanced out by the massive bass. Its totally a basshead set.
Just got these in from drop. Got them both on sale. I’ve heard good things about both and I figure that if I don’t like them I can gift them to family as they are both budget and I wouldn’t be losing a huge amount of money.
SideNote: Anybody know if there is a way to rotate pictures?
If you are using the inbuilt photo program in windows 10.
Just click on the rotate button at the top.
Sorry I meant in the forum. Is there an option in the post editor that I’m missing? I haven’t been using for too long so I’m not sure. When I posted the picture I was expecting it to be in landscape. It auto rotated the pic on me.
I don’t think there is a way to rotate pictures through the forum, you would have to do that on your device
Ok thanks guys.
Ok so don’t think I’ll ever be able to wear the fa1’s sadly. There is only one pressure release on the iem and I don’t think it’s big enough for me or its in the wrong spot… As soon as I put them in my ears I can feel a vacuum pull on my ear drums. It completely throws off my equilibrium and I start to get dizzy. I had an inner ear infection in the past that did exactly what these are doing to me. From the 30 secs that I got to listen to these they sound more flat leaning with an emphasis on mids.
They are single BA, they dont need any vents nor can I see it on the pictures. I guess you are very sensitive to pressure build-up, so I recommend staying away from BA only iems in the future.
You can kind of see it in the center of the iem. I’m not sure if this is an am actual pressure relief or if it’s part of the manufacturing process.
I have seen similar “vents” on other BA iems, but from what I can tell. It doesnt do anything to help with pressure at least.
How do they measure? Will you rank them?
Also have tha FA1 and also can’t wear them due to the pressure. I don’t get dizzy, but my ear will start to hurt after a while and will keep on hurting for a week after I’ve used them. Using them with foams does help a bit for me, you could try that. They are very mid focused indeed and flat, I feel they’re severely lacking bass.
No idea on anything else right now. I have ordered them all though so they will be measured and ranked when I get them (on the slow boat though).
Sounds like it got pretty bad pressure build up even for a BA set…
I spent 350 usd today.
Bought these:
Cable 1: 1 sterling silver + 2 gold/copper = 6 core
Cable 2: 2 sterling silver + 1 gold/copper = 6 core
Cable 3: possibly original Tri Through (cable A6):
K´s Bell-WE (bass version):
K´s Samsara K300:
Oh… I thought those were your photos of cables
Oh no. Those are the picture XINHS gave me. (thats why they are so low-rez lol.)
I will take some “real” pictures on them when I get them.
(the pictures from XINHS are literally around 50kb, they are extremely compressed.)
