Rotel A10 MKII vs. Denon PMA-600NE

Hello!

This is my first post in this forum. I’m about to buy my first amp and speakers for my living room. My two goals are to enrich my music listening experience at home and learn what I can about hifi audio in the process.

I’m undecisive about two amps:

The Rotel is a purely analog class AB amp, it seems to be of very good quality in terms of electronic design and sound. I think the audio quality is what I need, my only concern is the lack of DAC and digital inputs, as I listen to streaming often.

I assume I need a DAC only if I want to use a streamer as input, but in that case I assume the streamer (considering Wiim Min or Wiim Pro Plus) should have a decent DAC or it’s always possible to get a relatively cheap external DAC that is better than the built-in DAC the Denon PMA-600NE amp or even the Rotel A11 MKII have.

It would be great to hear opinions that confirm or dismiss my assumption and concern above.

Any comment is welcome about other relevant differences between the two amps, especially what might make any of the two a better choice in terms of audio quality (assuming the same sources and the same speakers, most likely the Dali Oberon 3).

Even though the Denon is cheaper at the moment (€300 vs. €400 for the Rotel), I think I’ll buy the Rotel amp unless someone manages to convince me that the Denon one is a better choice

Thanks a lot!
Cheers, Manuel
