They don’t have a price yet, not a finished product. From the forum post:
“We are currently offering 2 test samples for experienced CAT users who willing to share your experience and feedbacks, if you are willing to participate in the experience, please send private message.”
I agree that the ZEX had bloated bass, that weird mid bass bleed wasn’t optimal, but there is some good news, the ZEX Pro isn’t a ZEX at all.
f you look at it both in terms of the bass graph and the case shape, it is closer to the DQ6. Probably only used the ZEX naming because that model sold better, but I think they used the DQ6 as the starting point. I don’t know how it works, but if bass tuning harder, then it would make sense to start with the set that has better bass tuning, then work on the crossovers for the rest.
They say that they’ve only got one in stock. So either they are lying, they only made one, or people have already paid that much. I’m not sure which is the worst of the three.
Correct me if I’m wrong, no offence, but in the context of audio reviewers, a bunch of nobodies that no one’s even heard of. Maybe I’m way too skeptical, but this could be an elaborate scam and my bs meter is off the chart.
No, you could absolutely be right. It is fishy, which is why I went looking to see if I could find anything at all of them actually being out there. And I did find at least some proof. Granted, it could still be a scam of course, but it’s looking pretty elaborate for one.
Don’t know who asked for this, but HiBy apparently released a “mic system” with a mic dongle with TX and a RX for a pc. It uses some form of 2.4GHz communication, I will assume is not Bluetooth, but probably something like a 802.11a or n or something like that. Anyways, don’t know who’s interested in this but there you have it.
