Moondrop really knows how to build expensive stuff that looks cheap recently, first the Void headphone and now this.
Seems like it will have an app with a PEQ which quite impressive.

To be fair, I think it’s a highly sought after design. As we’ve already seen, many in the IEM space are into anime, and I’m sure this design will be appealing to them. It’s clearly a “marketing” design. I like the screw-like parts and the shiny finish. But who knows how’s it going to look, this is just a render.
They know what they are doing

Quite possibly the ugliest IEM I’ve ever seen, same with the Guminho Celest… Design really isn’t their cup of tea.
The thing is Kinera usually produces some of the beautiful shells out there… The Urd, Freya, Baldr, Skuld, Nanna are all lookers. Their sub-brand QoA carries that over too.
IMO the Celest was at least more tastefully executed than this. Not beautiful but not that ugly.
The picture Riku found of the panda I wouldn’t even object to stylistically, I’m not anti anime, it’s the “free clip art” vibe of the vector art they’re using. On top of what to me is an unpleasant shape/form.
