Focals have been out for a while not sure about the Beyers

Thank you for the correction.

I know the Perf Lambskin & Solid Suede have been here for a while for the Beyers.

I’ve been keeping an eye for the Perf Suede version, because I like the feel & sound for the pads built for Sennheiser.

Nah mate if I did upgrade my DX300 then it would probably be for a higher tier DAP something like the Hiby RS8 or Cayin N8ii but I’m happy with what I’ve got for the moment :+1:

Japan Audio Society gives out the hi-res certifications for products. Though at this point I think you can find just about any product on AliExpress shipping with the logo or a sticker lol! :joy:

Not sure if this’s a new product or not? deffo new to me and not sure it’s something that’s actually needed :man_shrugging:

I mean, it seems interesting but kinda gimmick? I don’t see myself needing something like that, but maybe there’s a market.

One thing to pois out: that Aliexpress page linked by Fioo don’t have the red version with this nice caps just some plain black ones without markings. Feel like this is a miss on their part, at least the markings would give it a better aesthetic appeal.

a macro pad…one with a very obvious audio focus. you could think of it as the return of media keys. alas, my volume dial in on my amp…but having a macro to pause / mute just the music app I’m using would be brilliant.

Meh. It looks cool and all, but I personally would not have a use for it. But that is just me.

My keyboard (Corsair K55) has similar volume control on the right and I never really found any use for them apart from using the play/pause button on rare occations.

I’ve already used up most of my USB ports with 2 mouses, 2 DACs and one Controller… so this seems a bit unnecessary.

Besides, if you are using dedicated DAC/Amps, isn’t it better to control volume on the Amp?

something like this would be useful for those like myself who use Teams as their work VOIP and scramble to find the pause / mute for the music app before the call goes to VM. LoL

I tought I could see myself using that, because dongles with volume control are a bit rare, and dongles with bck/fwd/play control are honnestly scarce. But then my use cas implies a tablet or a phone in the dark.
So:

  • this thing lighting up the room would’t be cool
  • the volume control would be applicable on the OS volume, not on the hardware Amp volume
  • I would need a kind of USB HUB or something to plug it AND the dongle

So yeah, when you think about it, it seems a very niche product. Why would it have to be mechanical, anyway?

I can see some advantage to a “four button keyboard” for media control.
For me to be useful, it would need two flanges so I can screw it under the table.

macro pads are actually very cool as they can be programmed to do a whole host of things that save you time by just hitting a key. and they come in all sorts of layouts. MMORPH players love them as they can easily execute otherwise complex actions.

Personally I never use those keys even though my own keyboard (Corsair K70) have them built in.

wouldn’t be surprised if they tried charging $50 for that looks like metal full body and metal keys

$20 on Aliexpress. looks like a lot of the 3-4 button macro pads I was looking at getting, but I ended up with a streamdeck+ since it had 4 knobs and far more functionality and quality of life.
