While I totally agree with you, the reason I stated the ESS IMD hump is because it actually starts to dominate what you hear audibly. Especially in the upper mids, which is a problematic range for many people.
You know you messed up when you can hear the hump even without much experience lol. Typically you would need to have some experience to point out an average ess hump, but with the audio gd it’s very audible
Well…it’s been fun dudes. See you around Christmas time when it’s time research the next purchase! This thing is great.
Lol, any thoughts so far?
I’m happy, and my pants are a little tighter.
lol what was your prior amp? I would appreciate some quick comparisons
Honestly, there’s not much I can say that others haven’t. I switched from an Atom. This makes me want to nod my head a lot more than that did. I’m actually having a hard time focusing on writing this because I’m distracted by the music, instead of the other way around.
Mine too, but it has more to do with pizza then headphone amps.
Sounds like a desirable result lol
I was up til 3:30 A.M. listening last night into today. I lost track of time, very enjoyable experience. The most noticeable thing for me was that the imaging, depth and definition of the sound was so much better than my SP200. I also was able to actually image vertically, which wasn’t possible with the SP200. Much more 3 dimensional sound to the RNHP. Everything sounds natural instead of weighty and forced like it does on the SP200.
That’s how you know when things are good
Just an example of the vertical imaging…I was listening to a live version of “Don’t Bring Me Down” by Electric Light Orchestra and I actually could tell that the vocals were higher vertically than the guitar. It was like black magic, lol.
So bright!
That is a green traffic light letting the music know it’s free to go, lol.
You also know that there’s tons of powaaaa in the amp and the lights.
I thought I was the only one…Lol
There is something about this amp that engages me more into the music. I’ve actually started purposely looking for this feeling when I’m testing other amps.
Nope, me too. The head bouncing is real!
I don’t have your facility with describing sound, so “bouncing my head” and “tapping my toe” was the best I could manage.
