50 years ago the Russians launched two probes to Venus. One of the stages failed and the probe has been in a highly elipical Earth orbit ever since. Well, gravity and friction have worked their magic and she’s coming back either today or tomorrow. Keep in mind this was designed to survive the descent into Venus’ 90x denser atmosphere than Earth. It’s stainless steel backed with an inner layer of titanium. She’s not going to burn up. Odds are slim it hits anywhere near people or ‘civilization’ since we’re mostly water and open space but you never know…if it comes down on land it will be quite spectacular!
It’s only a meter across but weighs 500kg…small but you’d not want it to land on or through your house
