Scarlett 2i2 + SMSL-SA36? Balanced to unbalanced?

Hello,
I’m new here and need some advice from the pros.

What I have:

  • Laptop
  • Focusrite Scarlett 2i2
  • 2 small home build speakers

What I want to do:
Buy a SMSL-SA36A amp to drive the speakers.
Therefore I thought I could use the outputs of the 2i2 as input for the SA36A.
According to the spec sheet the outputs are two 1/4" TRS.
I thought I could use a TS-to-RCA cable to connect them.
Then banana plugs from SA36A to speakers.
But does this work? As far as I understand I am going from a balanced to an unbalanced connection between DAC and amp … will this make problems?

The cable I was targeting: https://www.amazon.com/Cordial-PC-Cable-CFU-black/dp/B001CZLPJW/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=Cordial%2BCFU%2B0.9%2BPC&qid=1581528413&sr=8-1&th=1

Or is the whole setup just a bad idea?

I would like to keep the budget small for now. I am interested in getting deeper into HiFi but right now I don’t have the time and money and just want some half decent audio.

Best Regards

According to the manual, you can just plug in TS to RCA.

I have that Cordial Cable in the 0,6 PC version in use, from the RCA outs of my 2i4 2nd Gen to my Mixer
