Schiit Magni 3+ issue

Last November I purchased a Schiit stack (Modi 3 & Magni 3+).

Setup is: PC TOSLINK > Modi > Magni > Adam T5Vs / DT770s 250

I turn on everything in the morning (in the above order) and turn everything off when I go to sleep (reverse order). Everything was working fine until about 1-2 weeks ago. Then when I would turn on everything the right channel would fade out for a few seconds then back in. This would happen for about 10-20 minutes (until the amp heated up?). After that it would be fine for the rest of the day.

I tried checking to see if this happens with the headphone jack as well but couldn’t hear it happen. Maybe it does but I didn’t hear it. Tried swapping the RCA cables (cable from left monitor to right out and vice versa) but the same happened to the left monitor then. So the cables/monitors are fine.

My question is should I be concerned about this? Is it normal? I’m worried that it will get worse over time. Should I proceed with warranty?

Even if the issue goes away, I would raise a support ticket with Schiit. I suspect they will RMA. What you are describing doesn’t sound right.

Yeah I figured that it wasn’t normal. Especially because this wasn’t happening before and that only one channel was doing this. I’ll send the request and see what they have to say about this.
