Searching for fun closed-back headphones

I’m searching for a fun closed-back headphone with bass. I already have a open-back with a wide soundstage. When I’m listening to music or play games, I want that “boom boom wub wub” fun. Don’t care about footsteps, already have that.

Thought about getting the MH 571/572, but read that they have not much bass.

Buget: preferably something under 100€.

Welcome to HFGF  if you don’t mind s/h then a pair dt770 pro 250 ohm’s are hard to beat :+1: that is if you have a source to power them with?

Monoprice ModernRetro def have that boom-boom, need pads.

welcome to HFG!

however, I have some concern about your comment of wanting boom boom boom when you’re listening to music and playing games. music I get…though you must be careful the headphone has enough quality that it doesn’t wash out any of the other sounds. but the big issue is that you don’t want lots of bass for gaming as that absolutely washes out the environmental sounds you need to stay alive…things like footsteps, etc.

Thank you,

that was the point I already have a good open-back headphone with a wide soundstage, hearing footsteps and everything else is fine. I want something casuall, maybe not primarily for gaming, just for fun where Im like: Whoaa boom, this is fun or when Im listening to dubstep getting more enjoyment out of it.

Hello and welcome,

How much money of Budget you will spend for it?It gives many Headphones .

Boom boom bassy cans around 100 euro?
I have the 1more triple driver over-ear, they used to sell for 200usd, but now can be found in Europe (even in local stores) for like 100 bucks…
They dont have the tightest bass (at all), but the mid-bass is really there for the punch. The representation of space is at least interesting…
I would say they are overall great if you find them under 100 euro.
And to be honest, they are awesome for non-fps games and media consumption.

Also… It technically is a double driver on-ear

Would you consider an IEM aswell?
Asking coz I think it’s easier to find a great “bassy” and fun IEM in the 50 - 100€ pricerange.
Maybe even the new Moondrop Aria.
For headphones I’d suggest AKG K371 second hand for roughly 80 - 100€.
Easy to power aswell, guessing you don’t use a dedicated amp?
