Haven’t found any discussion of the new Shanling MW200 bluetooth neckband cable here yet, so I thought I’d start a thread…
I placed an order for the MW200 shortly after it’s release and finally took delivery a few days ago after it bounced around the U.S. Postal Service for about a month. As someone who’s been deep in the Apple ecosystem for years, I’ve been trying to gain experience with other products that use the more advanced bluetooth codecs available.
The MW200 is cool as it allows you to use any MMCX connected IEM wirelessly via LDAC, LHDC, aptX HD, aptX, AAC or SBC with your source device. I wanted a way to get more use out of my FiiO FH7’s with the convenience of bluetooth. Using my Hiby R3 Pro Saber as a source I can now listen to LDAC bluetooth while on the go. While at home, I can transmit in aptX HD from my Bluesound Node 2i to the MW200.
The sound quality is excellent. The MW200 has no trouble powering the FH7’s to more than adequate volumes. In addition to the FH7’s, I also tried my Tin P1’s but found that the MW200 had difficulty driving them.
I’m pleased with this purchase and would definitely recommend the MW200 if it is something that would interest you.
