Sry, I edit my post to make it clearer.
Can you articulate the sound difference vs stock pads?
Bass goes deeper. And stage got wider. Midrange is a bit more recessed. Its a bit less aggressive. Because your ear sits further away. Volume drops also 5db
You donāt get that treble peak reduction like alot of people say
And they are way more comfy then the stock pads
ive seen some graphs that help smooth it out, only reason i was waiting because of the horror stories with the treble, hoping this will be the answer so i can grab a pairā¦
Would you say the pads were worth the cost? I
Yes they are worth the price
you chose well with your zmf cansā¦ some of the nicest around imo
Thanks
After getting the Koss PortaPro last week, my other headphones has not been used (hd58x jubilee, hifiman hd4xx and philips fidelio x2). Guess the novelty will wear off a bit, but i do like the sound signature of the portaProā¦
Throw some Yaxi Pads on there and youāll always keep a pair of Porta Pros around.
Just ordered!
Nice! Looking forward to your thoughts on the difference with Yaxi pads.
It will probably take a bit of time to get them though, as i had to order from abroad (couldnāt find yaxi pads available here in Norway), but iāll do when i get tem
You might be surprised. KSC75 still gets solid listening time even with all my other stuff hanging around. Iām guessing Porta Pro is a similar situation.
ā¦ I am SO curious on your honest thought of that stack. Mentally I can see that competing with a cheaper god tier stack than the Klipsch HP-3 + Dragonfly Cobalt. DO REVIEW!
Portaproās are great but dont compete with full size headphones or many IEMS. I think their hyped a bit much
My DT 1990 also have Dekoni Elite Velour installed and I agree with everything Cevisi said. Also I feel comfortable with those pads over the stock ones
How long have you had your Porta Pros?
