Well said bro. I have to at least try. This is a different enough to make it unique and also pretty good.
I spent some time using Room EQ Wizard to do a 20 band PEQ match, then boiled it down to an ‘impulse’ file which I then can load in Foobar and listen away. Here is the result which is pretty off the map.
Is this the graph for the latest Anomaly or the mutli driver one (just to be on the safe side)?
PS Having watched your latest vid and being a whisk(e)y fan myself, you might want to try the Laphroaig Quarter Cask (if you haven’t already of course).
Thanks for the clarification! That’s a bummer with the availability; I’ve tried finding certain spirits when I visited the USA (you’re US based right) and noticed how difficult it is to do so (in this case Cabo Wabo tequila because I’m a VH fan).
whatever you price these at, brother, it’s a passion project that defines your love of audio. I might not be able to fork over the cash right now, but I hope to in the future. Looking forward to the release
To which I would like to add: perfection does not equal greatness. You set out to do something new and from what I can tell, based on your posts here and on your YT channel, you seem to have done that. In addition, you’ve poured more effort and excitement into the Anomaly than most companies, chifi or otherwise, do into their entire lineup.
I’m still interested in this one as are undoubtedly a lot of others on here.
Thank you all for being positive! I appreciate it. I think I couldn’t get the performance as high as I was hoping so the price will be below $600, i’m considering all the accessories will probably add $100 to the overall cost. Or I could have 2 options, one with just the IEM and one with my chosen OE Audio cable and Softears UC tips (was also thinking of including half-cut Comply T600) which will give the most treble replay possible due to zero nozzle restriction.
Defo that, every set > $500 should have this option imho, most folk that are already deep in this hobby will have a preferred cable or cable maker and want to customise their set either for ‘tuning’ purposes or aesthetics.
Having two options would be awesome! Most of us have plenty of cables and tips lying around IMO (I mean, I already have six spare sets of the Softears UC) so that would be awesome.
Completely agree! @shortbus so many of us already have all the accessories we want, so they’re pretty much garbage that piles up in a drawer somewhere.
