[edit] this is not your droid, Dave. This is for extremely well mixed fart sniffing music. Sorry about that.

How do you print those tubes, I barely get them printing even with a 0.75mm x 0.75mm area tube. Also for that exit to work, the rear volume has to be sealed to that tube right?

Isn’t that Softears EDGE?

It is. Wanted to ask him about it, but like he said, he already discussed it in his latest vid.

I would expect Softears to sell through HifiGo as well but there’s no product listing as of now (not even on their own web store, just a placeholder). At first, I thought they look weird but according to Softears, the design is supposed to be an homage of sorts to a pro grade camera. The vent becomes the viewfinder then, which is kind of cool IMO.

Isnt this it?

Thanks! Checked yesterday but it wasn’t up then. Elise sells some Softears as well, which I’d prefer to HifiGo’s customer ‘service’.

Yeah Softears Edge. How I printed the channels is by using black resin, not clear. I then have to make a place to insert a syringe filled with 99% iso and blow out the channel with it a few times, ultrasonic, blow out more, then with air. I can print down to around 0.4mm holes/channels but I have to be quite careful.

haha, what the fuck?! shakes head Form over function for sure.

The tubes worked to a certain extent in my case, did the same, inject Iso and all, but there were channel balance problems across shells, and I had tested the drivers before and after. Having channel balance problems, i decided not to continue there…

I suspect you need a super good printer to pull it off. I use a Uniformation GK2 which is good and I know Thieaudio uses them as well as other manufactures.

Can be found here if you want to take a look. I actually think the shell design is the better looking one

It looks a bit less aggravating than the Twilight shell to my eyes, so hopefully it won’t feel too bad.
