The openness factor is on point no joke. It’s just those super harmonics that give notes a kind of ethereal quality im going for.
The lower and the middle midrange appears to be more forward. Interesting.
I’m still adjusting that part, but it’s very very nice. Still linear.
The MagicOne adds an ethereal quality to music. The MagicOne is the only IEM which I accidentally fell asleep to while listening to it. If your IEM has a relaxing and ethereal quality for the music, then I think that you have a winner.
Trust your ears. Measurements aren’t everything.
This looks like a promising development
Looking fantastic man. Pulled the 6-7k down a bit more compared to last time?
Yeah just a hair, but i put that energy into the post 2.5k ear gain instead which I think is the right move… also it upped the extreme air frequencies enough to matter. It’s actually the increased bass that moves that downwards… pushes it down.
I’m a little pissed off and sad that to get the best performance from this DM driver, I need to have it directly on axis / center of driver focused directly into the nozzle. I had it off axis due to comfort/fit, but as I test things, this is the wrong move to get the most air. Damn it.
Can you 3D the internals of the shell for a wave Guide and still keep the nozzle angle?
I thought about it for awhile. The issue becomes actually building the thing and putting the driver inside if I really go nuts angling stuff. I think the right move is to just round the shell properly so it doesnt push in any odd places making your ears hurt, so I did that.
I thought ypu were doing a resin shell that look metal?
It’s just a CAD render on his PC. It’ll be resin
Let the Dark Magician sound guide you. That bitch sounds super dynamic and airy at high volume, which is what you, in my opinion, should be going for.
I totally agree! DM is incredible and I have to at least beat it or I’ll be upset.
My mission to get more treble via centered driver in the nozzle definitely worked. Rounding the shell was perfect, no hurty places.
We have the oring bass (mod) and then stock with full venting.
Todays graphs. I have to do some reviews so that’s it for the weekend. For myself the treble is well matched to the big red bass shelf. Took forever to get that to happen.
I may be done. This sounds really airy and has some insanely good sub wallop. DM on roids give or take.
Hell yeah, looks amazing. Nice work Bruce Would love to get my ears on these some day.
I did my reviews for the weekend. Went for a nice big run with my best prototype which I attempted to fully balance the bass, not too much or little. Fell in complete love and they blew me away in so here we go. I’m likely to keep this tuning. It’s got so much win I don’t think I can beat it no matter how hard I try.
The sound is more earbud than IEM in a lot of senses. Extremely wide and diffuse but somehow pulls together some tight imaging and layering. Very intoxicating for me… even orgasmic given the right track. I think my mission at this point is to make more of this exact IEM. I’m labeling it the golden prototype for now. It fits the name Anamoly so well!
That looks absolutely phenomenal. These are going to sound incredible. I’m wishing you a prosperous release, Mike
