I am wondering if there would be a benefit from upgrading from my Bitfrost 2 to the Yggdrasil+. I was wondering if I would hear a significant change in sound or if I am better off upgrading to something else. I currently have a RNHP am connected in the chain. However, I would like to include some speakers into the system in the future and was wondering about upgrading the DAC.

I am about to make that jump after speaking with several Yggy owners who also made the upgrade. There are some who said that the Yggdrasil was not a night and day difference though, but everyone has a different audio chain so your milage may vary. In my case I currently have my BF 2/64 paired with a Mjolnir 3, and I have been told by other Mjolnir 3 owners that the Yggdrasil MIB pairs well with it. I have never used your amp before so I can’t directly comment on how well it will pair with the Yggy, but I will be sharing my thoughts on the upgrade once it arrives (backordered until 01/15). In the mean time I would suggest posing your question in the Yggdrasil thread over on head-fi. There are quite a lot of active owners over there.
