So I current have a pair of dt 990 from beyerdynamic and I have those being powered by a sound blaster g5. Was curious if it would be beneficial to upgrade headphones or get a new sound card or upgrade both? Was looking into getting the Sennheiser HD 660s, Love to hear some feed back!!

first question to answer is what model of 990’s you have. what’s their impedance?
Console or PC is another important question.
depends on the fps, looking at a very heavy downgrade in fps performance going from a 990 to a 600 series sennheiser considering the differences of imaging and soundstage. Good for sound quality, not so good for fps in comparison
