It really sucks, I felt something wasnā€™t right with my KL setā€™s sound then after that information became apparent I kind of look at them now like-

It still sounds great to me, but if you want that bass, either get Mahina or retune it. The DD in the lava is better, but the tuning on Mahina is much more appealing to my ears.

I agree if the bass on the Moonlight/ Mahina sounds like the Canon so wicked itā€™s not as fast or graphs as much but just sounds so much more musical. I wish I could find a used set to replace my Lava but so far no luck locally.

After reading some of the ā€˜where-the-Hell-is-it?ā€™ Hell that people have been through Iā€™m more leaning towards waiting until 11.11 to snatch the Mahina instead of sending it to be retuned. I would actually have a hard time what to even ask to have done outside of wanting a bit more sub-bass and mid-bass because my audio science knowledge stops at ā€œI guess add a couple or so db right there?ā€

Thing to remember is most people canā€™t hear a audible difference less than 3 db so if you retune ask for 3db but they can only do much in tuning is what I was told.

Doing again I would so buy the sound signature of Yanyin over EJ for the bass texture alone, but the 3D staging on the EJ canā€™t be beat IMO , certainly 3 steps better than the Canon . If the Moonlight/Mahina had that much better staging than the Canon that would rock my world. But alas I have not heard either.

Dunno if someone experienced this, my KL sounded more harsh starting this week, vocals started to feel shouty. Iā€™m sure itā€™s not my ears as I tested my other IEM and they were indeed sounded the same as I perceived and even a loaned B2Dusk felt less shouty/sharp.

I changed cables, tip rolled and nothing worked to get that harsh/shouty feeling disappear. Iā€™m starting to feel that it might be a broken driver but couldnā€™t confirm.

Anyone knows what is up with Letshuoer? Been trying to contact them to get a reshell and retune for my ej07m, and itā€™s been really slow, like 1 email response per week. The last email I sent they told me to give them the posting reference for my returning IEM, which I did a few hours later, but so far no invoice from them (even after a second email), so Iā€™m a bit wary of sending them the IEM if coms are going to be this slow, and I only have 2 more days to post the IEM before having to pay for another reference. Perhaps the universe wants me to keep the EJ07m as isā€¦

Sad to hear, not sure why.

So far I know of 2 people who sent their IEMs out to Letshuoer and the packages were lost forever. Obviously the postal system in China is not reflection on Letshuoer, but makes me worried about any company based there that would need them to be sent to work on or replace.

And of course understating the value to avoid import complications and fees means they canā€™t be insured for full value.

Indeed, no insuranceā€¦ My EJ07m has been repaired before due to a channel imbalance, took 2 months get there and back, via Hifigo, and luckily there were no post issues, but Hifigo have a surprisingly good customer service (at least in my experience).

You can always hit up @shuoer if you need anything high priority, or in their discord.

I believe they are still on national leave this week(National holidays from 1st Oct to 7th)? Saw a note in their Discord also their rep Joseph went on a camping trip too hence you are not getting faster response. From my experience dealing with them, they are very professional and any issues were handled satisfactorily that I would not hesitate with them.

On the postal side of things, I have always been wary of any postal systems in any country hence I always pack really well (like foam wrap individual earphones within hard shell which then foam wrapped etcā€¦) and high value sets go via reputable courier with full tracking/signed delivery etcā€¦

Give them a few days Iā€™m sure theyā€™d respond back

That makes a lot of sense. Thanks for replying. Prior to this I had a good impression of Letshuoerā€™s service from other userā€™s experiences, so this was out of character, and as it turns out there is a perfectly good explanation.

I donā€™t know the seller but thatā€™s a cracking price :+1:

Thatā€™s a great price. I can try reposting it on our server.

Is it uneven, as in one side sounds different than the other or do both sides sound just as ā€œshouty/sharp?ā€ I ask because it would be very, very rare for the same driver to break on both sides leaving a balanced sound difference across both channels so if the difference is occuring on both sides then driver malfunction can almost certainly be ruled out and we can try to trouble shoot some other things.

I feel like both sides lost most of its bass (sub bass slam and mid-bass thump). I know how it sounded when I first try it. I know the bass texture were really good that time but I could not feel it anymore and now I dunno because of the lack of the bass presence the sound felt more shouty/sharp on both sides.

I had to lower my volume below my usual to make it more listenable and less fatiguing. Because of the shoutiness I had to change my filter from CP100(I love the full energy of this) to Final E tips to lessen the harshness and sharpness.

Have you tried using a tone or sine sweep generator to see if your 07Ms give you a normal sound reproduction through the whole range? And you said you have tried them on different cables and different sources/DACs/amps so that your sure the problem is coming from the IEMs themselves correct? Assuming you have done that, is the sound coming from them clear and undistorted through their whole frequency range?

Basically, if you have eliminated possible causes from your sources, cable, and everything else that isnā€™t the IEMs themselves then I think youā€™re going to need to get in touch with Letshuoer or your seller and send them in to be serviced, repaired, or replaced. If theyā€™re still under warranty and some internal component(s) failed then it would be on them to repair or replace for free. If the warranty is done then you may have to pay for the cost of any repairs, etc. I will say that I have found the folks at Letshuoer super easy to deal with when I sent back a previous pair for retuning and reshelling.

Anyways, if you can answer the questions I posed above, Iā€™ll keep trying to help you figure out what the problem is, but it might be worth it to fire off emails to your seller or Letshuoer themselves and start getting that ball rolling if you think itā€™s likely that some kinda hardware failure or issue exists.

Someone is selling a resinā€™d OG Kinda lava tuning on Head-fi. If I didnā€™t have my IE600 I would probably snag thisā€¦

Well worth the cost. I had fit and resonance issues with the metal shell and all was fixed with the resin.

I am more than happy to announce that after 3,5 months without any tracking update my Kinda Lavas arrived in China and will hopefuly be delivered to Letshouer soon  :crossed_fingers:
