Anyone out there have the Simgot EM2? If so what are your thoughts and can you compare them to Thieaudio L3, FiiO FH3 or CCA C12? I did a search for the Simgot on this site and could not find anything.
Here’s why I’m asking: I love both the L3 and FH3 for music, but prefer the CCA C12 for gaming. However, the C12s are smidge painful to use for long gaming sessions (the shape and size of the shell presses on my outer ear).
I came across the Simgots through some searching, but was surprised not to see anything here, so thought I’d ask.
Without the EM2 being open-back, I doubt they will provide any better soundstage or imaging than the already very nice L3. Shuoer Tape Pro is a definite upgrade for gaming, but painful to use. Then you’ve got Timmkoo C630 which is equally good(or slightly better) as Tape Pro for gaming, but the treble is much brighter/sharper, with barely acceptable comfort/fit.
I’m not expecting any iem to be as wide in sound stage as an open-back headphone, at least in the price range I can currently afford. My issue with the CCA C12 is comfort. IMO, the CCA C12 does a good job with imaging, which is what I enjoyed about it. Let me reiterate, the iems are just for gaming so I don’t care if the amount of bass, bass bleed or timbre are off, I’m mostly concerned with imaging.
I ended up getting the EM2. They aren’t bad for $79 (on Amazon, right now). Do they sound as good as the L3 or FH3, I don’t think so, but they are pretty close and will work just fine for their intended purpose.
