đŸ”¶ Sivga P-II

I think so that makes the most sense

Not sure if they are generally fragile or just shouldn’t be tinkered with, but I had the same problem Hazi59 did, but only AFTER I switched the pads to try the Aiva perforated pads. I noticed the right channel had dropped a few dB, so I took the pad off again and noticed the oval sticker/film protecting the driver had wrinkled a bit on one side. I smoothed it back down, put the pad on once more and the volume miraculously returned to normal.

Really want to pull the trigger on the ZMF universe perforated suade pads. It is really worth it

Before my Sivga P-II had to be returned, I actually was using the ZMF Universe Perforated Hybrid pads. They sounded just a tad better than the Suede Perf as they retained a little bit more of the mids.

And compared to the stock pads?

More soundstage, bass and mids than stock pads. Treble is less than with the stock pads, but still clear. The sound was more harmonious with ZMF pads.

Awesome thanx

I consider buying a Sigva headphone and wanted to have your opinions. I own Fostex Purplehearts headphone and thought it’s good. Unfortunately just to the moment I got my Shuoer Tape IEMS and KZ ZS10Pros. Compared to the Shuoer the Fostex doesn’t sound so crystal clear. Also the bass is “sharper” in the IEMS. So I considered buying a Sigva as it should be really good. I want to have a sound similar to the Shuoer Tapes. Cristal clear sound with enough bass. Do you think my expectations will be fulfilled or should I stay with the IEMS only?

I think these get overhyped.
If you want to try something that has a ‘crystal clear’ treble sound and really great sub-bass, you could try the 1More Triple Driver Headphones. They are pretty amazing, as long as you can get past the comfort of them.
EDIT: If you have a really good amp, there is also the Fostex T60. Really good detail in the treble. Just enough bass probably.

I’m responding to an old post about the screws under the pads. I’m shocked to see someone else stumbled across what I did a while ago. I completely pulled the drivers out and made sure everything was just right enough on assembly and it made my 570’s sound much warmer.

Its immense how much its changed the sound. Im now looking around as I’ve seen people sell their aivas so cheap and I think it might just be that issue

Does anyone know where to get these in Europe now? They seem to have vanished.

I mean, you could get them in Aliexpress on Sivga Official Store.

So, I need yall’s help.

When I first got them and listened to them, I was far from impressed. I just knew that something was missing and that something doesn’t sound right. Then, I waited for my iBasso DX300 + AMP12 to arrive, and now that I’ve hooked them up to the “DX312”, they sound much better.

However, something just isn’t right. Here’s the thing: the lows are good (somewhat balanced, not the deepest, but definitely clean and of good quality), the highs are rolled off and give that sense of warmth but still retain the quality of detail and treble “sheen”. Then you have the mids. The part that doesn’t sound right.

Whether it’s in music or just watching YT videos where people speak, it sounds quite off. So, here i my theory. You know how you have the black grill, but below it you have the silver plate with the holes? Well, the holes are not of the same diameter — they are much smaller towards the center of the plate, and they increase in diameter outwards, in a circular pattern. Sure, this looks hella nice, but could this be negatively affecting the sound? I believe so.

If you take your hands and cover the grill, you can immediately hear a sonic difference; meaning that the smaller holes should definitely have an impact in sound.

The qualities I hear in the mid-range are nasal and tinny. Besides music and human voice, even sounds like the MacOS’s volume sound effect are funny sounding.

Anyone else experienced this on this pair of headphones?

That’s the tuning of the headphone. Nothing you can do to fix it

the exploded view of the headphones looks like that inner and outer grill aren’t attached to each other. maybe you could try removing the inner one and see what its like :man_shrugging:

Well, you can always alter tuning. What I am asking is whether I am the only one who finds the mid-range very strange-sounding.

@Pokrog do you mind sharing the exploded view image? I had no luck finding it
I am pretty sure I’d have to disassemble the whole headphone in order to take the plate off.

That is precisely due to the strange frequency response

I am pretty sure the frequency response would be altered by the plate. Imagine if you were measuring the headphone and you cupped the ear-cups, the FR would change the same way the sound changes when you are listening to them.

I am personally curious about how they would sound if all the holes in the plate were of same size. Am curious about how they sound without the plate as a whole, but am paranoid about changing the driver’s performance (in the Aiva thread, people said that tightening/loosening the screws alters the sound performance).

it looks like the the screws holding the driver in place are also holding the front grill plate on so if you undo the screws the front piece holding the grill in might just come off allowing you to remove that back layer without having to go in past the driver.

edit: it looks like the screws holding the driver in also aren’t holding it together so it shouldn’t effect the driver at all.

i wonder if phoenix grills pop right into it
