Sure. I can also snap a shot with a ruler for ya.
okay yeah I can definitely see the complaints on that. I will do some measurements myself later and see whats the absolute limit on pad size for me personally… If it works I will put an order on these as I am curious.
These pad swap capable at all?
Stock pads are glued to the adapter plate. Once you peel the stock pads off a lot of pads are compatible (DT880 pads come to mind) but then the original pads are probably ruined. I would only consider it if you feel the stock pads are not good enough.
I take it by this you mean remove the stock pads off the adapter itself much like you would with a shp9500? Bit of an annoyance having to do stuff like that. .
Yes it’s like the SHP9500.
How do you get the adapter plate off? I tried but I feel like I’m breaking something when I do.
Grab the pad and pull it clockwise. There are three points where the adapter plate are attached.
Oh nice! Thanks! Now, when putting on new pads do they go around something or do they have to be adhered to the plate?
Pads in general should have an outer “ring hook”. So just hook the pad onto the adapter plate. Unless they’re the wrong size or something.
Zeos back with all the hype. My favorite quote from the video where in contrast to the Sundara:
“You put these on, and it’s like every musical note is wearing a flak jacket and body armor. And it just walks into your ears. But does it in a way that’s silky and smooth.”
I haven’t been able to find much in the way of other good reviews. But it seems people tend to find these somewhat dark and bass leaning. Which I often like, so I may pick this up later
I can agree with bass leaning. But I would not call them dark.
The bass is really so detailed and smooth but it doesn’t overpower the other frequencies. Bassheads would not be satisfied with it.
I’ll take these “small” pads over the Trident’s baby pads any day of the week imo…
How do these compare to the AR-H1s? Anyone know?
@kcrack
Are you able to say how they compare to the 004 ? I have the 004 and it’s my current fav. I am interested in these because I like the 004, like the build and how they fit too. I thought these would be a nice step up. I do like bass leaning. I may even be a bass head , but it’s tight, punchy base I prefer over utter boom.
Probably like a more v shaped version of the 004, with more detail, imaging, and clarity. I have the sivga 007 that’s very similar sounding to the 004, and the monolith m570 (which literally sound the same as the sendy aiva which is sivga). The m570 sounds just like the 007 but more v shaped with better detail, imaging, and clarity. I wanna know how the Phoenix sounds as well…love the highs and detail that sivga’s headphones produce.
Sorry, I have not heard other Sivga headphones. The Phoenix is great though if they fit you right.
@haudaikuwa, @kcrack
I don’t own many headphones, that makes it hard for me to decipher what I see in reviews so, I need and appreciate input from those that have a wider set of experiences, thanks!
Glad were some help. That’s always a issue with buying headphones…if only we all had access to headphones for a listening test!
How about printing new adapters? Ruining the (not comfortable) good and new ones is not a best option if you cannot get spares…
