Ill never forget meeting Joey for the first time. I met him before a show at Hairy Mary’s, he was at the bar and he told me that his real name was Nathan and we laughed and talked about music and what not, I was 17. He then took us to Sid’s place for a party where when we walked in, he was cleaning up puke at the doorstep. He dj’d a set in the basement at his bar. Joey was such a chill down to earth guy, blew my mind at the time and knowing what he accomplished now makes it all the more surreal. Crazy, night. What a legend, Rest in Peace my dude…
