Orrr you could use a mini smartphone + dongle-DAC and stay off your phone-phone at the same time. 
Introducing the Soyes X14 Pro, Android 9.0, 2GB of RAM, should do well as a DAP, plus it lets me switch out audio chains. 
Pic shows it running the JCally JM6 Pro which needs 1 step above 0 software volume for my normal listening level via the KSC75 - damn thing is too powerful for something with no volume buttons lol. Tried to include other things for scale - this is really an amusingly small full-featured Android phone, and in fact I was kicking myself while continuing to read product specs after ordering it, because the XS12 might have been just as fast/responsive and even smaller (I wanted that 2600 mAh battery vs. the 2000 on the XS12 tho).
