So I got the D13

And everything I own hisses at me :frowning:
iFi Zen DAC v2
Xduoo X2S
Link v2 to phone or PC.

Only way I can avoid the hiss is plugging to the rear balanced output on the Zen… is an upgrade a must to enjoy this set?

That is very strange considering its just a single DD and with its impedance/sensitivity

Shouldnt be hiss sensitive at all…

I was thinking the same exact thing…

Contact Joseph on their discord and try another cable if you can; you shouldn’t be getting hiss from anything based on my own experiences with the D13. Was this all done 4.4/2.5 balanced, or were you running 3.5 out of your sources? I wonder if there’s a cable issue.

Thanks for the replies

Tried both 4.4 and 3.5 on the ZEN Dac, both had a hiss or white noise, 3.5 had it a bit weaker but so was the overall volume.
Other sources with 3.5 and the hiss was strong.

I’ll try contacting him today, but it doesn’t seem like an iFi issue if it happens on other devices as well, right? I’m starting to think the set might be faulty… But then the rear ZEN balanced just works, the dial is almost at 12 but no hiss…

Yeap, hit me up on Discord or email me at [email protected]. I don’t frequent this forum enough to catch all the questions unfortunately.
