Sole criterion: durability - which DAP?

I’m saving up for a FiiO M11 after literally 10 YEARS of playing music off of an iPod Touch, the thing got banged up like you can’t imagine, I even kicked it as it fell to the ground while I was jogging - still works great.

…So keeping it simple, I’m not buying the FiiO if it’s just going to last a few years and it can’t take a fall gracefully.

Which currently available DAP sounds good but is indestructible?

I’ve had a fiio x5 2nd gen and it’s taken quite a beating. I’ve heard the sony walkmans are pretty durable. The Sansa clip+ with rockbox is great but discontinued.

Honestly I think it’s a gamble with most players, it depends on what they could survive
