Hello friends, hoping you are in good health and making use of your knowledge, I would appreciate if you could help me with a consultation with your suggestions and opinions. I have a budget of 150-200USD and I would like to buy some good IEMS with good bass, clear mids and decent treble, I am new to this chart reading thing and only know the basics. I have consulted several pages and several servers and this is what I got:
By asking on the following pages, they recommended:
Hifi Go: 7Hz Timeless AE
Linsoul: Simgot SuperMix 4
Discord Server: FatFreq x HBB Deuce
I was currently intending to buy the latter, but unfortunately they won’t be on sale soon and it would be great if I could grab something on sale this season. On the other hand, my current rig is some Tiandirenhe TD08 Pro connected to a MOONDROP DAWN PRO Dac Dongle to my mobile for listening to songs in the heavy and even saturated funk genre (I know, a bit garbage). So, with nothing more to add, I’ll look forward to your comments, thanks.
If you’re looking at Deuce definitely look at the dynaquattro I think tonality wise it’s a much better buy.
Have they been on sale recently? I forgot if last time hifigo included them on sale or not. If not then I think its above his budget altho if it were me I would also go for Dynaquattro based on the fact that I dont want to be involved in the whole fatfreq shit show.
There is also the Ziigaats (Arcadia, Odyssey, Cincotres, Doscinco) in that price bracket if you are interested.
Yo @domq422 @VIVIDICI_111 @Jaytiss any of you guys or any other brothers got any rec’s/thoughts?
Out of these options, I only have the Deuce, got them some time back. So far good, no complaints from my side. IMO ticks the boxes you mentioned above just slighty over budget i suppose?. I gotta stay I did not get the time to put in more than only a few hours of listening on it yet, hoping to change that soon.
I really like Dynaquatro. You can get it from Amazon, it’s cheaper, and to me it sounds better than the Duece. Bassy, but it is a little smoother. I like the sound of it, just smooth and fun.
Other options for a bass set like that… I can’t think of any at that price. Estrella is good too.
There are other cheaper options that are very good. Aful Explorer at 120 and I really like the new T10 Pro at 82.
I’m done with my iem purchases this year. Got Cinno, Klean, Vivace and Gimlet coming in the next few days to complement my S08 and YuXuanJi. Will decide in the next months which set to keep and which set to sell before buying an endgame one end of next year. Dynaquattro, Odyssey, Cincotres and Tea Pro is a candidate from this year. I have demo the Estrella and while I agree its good, the tuning is just nor for me. Its fun, thumpy, detailed but overwhelming for me after a while.
Thank you all for your answers, it will be very helpful and I appreciate it a lot, I am also looking for a headphone that can handle saturated and loud sounds like the following track: https://youtu.be/5PRQuaCW6bw?si=dzrFuR4qwvSV-8sb
(I know, it’s garbage, but I like it).
On the other hand, I am also thinking of buying, for these next headphones, a 4.4 mm output to have a better experience, (or if it comes included, better, as is the case of the Deuce), what do you think?
A detail that I forgot to mention was that the Performer 5 had also been recommended to me as an option before the Deuce.
I’ll leave here a graph showing a comparison of the Dynaquattro and the Deuce, I’m still impressed by the bass level of the latter, I’ve seen comments saying that “it was fun to listen to”, although I don’t know what they mean exactly.
I’m not sure if they had them on a sale but there are definitely coupons out there that bring it a lot closer to $200 instead of $250.
Yeah if getting Deuce I’d go for it from a shop like Bloom Audio.
The graph is very deceptive, I don’t feel the deuce has that much bass over the dyna. I do use both of these items almost every day.
CKLVX D62, and Sancai Wide tips (on sale around $250)
Or Gizaudio Chopin (on sale around $150)
is it aliexpress or which store you got it from? if yes sadly no store selling dynaquattro to germany. so my choice is limited to hifigo.
You better really love bass if you buy the Deuce because the mids and treble are nothing special with that set.
…Or my favorite IEM for relaxation without much analysis CKLVX D41, about 140-160 dollars .The bass is not bad.
That’s what I was thinking, maybe a lot of bass is not such a good idea.
I picked them up on Amazon.
I definitely wouldn’t run them on a warm chain that’s for sure. My LP W4 does make them sparkle a bit more than my RS6.
dang lucky then. its not available on amazon germany. also the price of stuff there is crazily marked up. Supermix 4 for example is 150$ on linsoul but on their amazon germany store its 165€ which is almost 175$.
Good lord wonder why it’s marked up like that?
Once you’ve got some shiney new tariffs in place, you’ll understand
