Ive been listening to my Arya for a while now and i love it, its great. But i find the soundstage distracting. Sometimes details in the music can get a little faded in it. Also the tone is different. Well lately i tried my Auteur on the RNHP and i found it sounds really really good. I thought i had tried it before but i guess that was the SP200 lol. So anyway ive been really enjoying the Auteur on it. The tone is so nice and a closer soundstage has me really preferring it these days.
But the big drivers the Arya have are marvelous. especially for detail. The other night i was listening to B52’s “Girl from Ipanema” in 24/192 on Amazon HD. Theres a lot going on in that song in certain parts and maybe its the mastering, but i found it gets a little congested in the Auteur. But in my Arya. i could hear everything no problem. There was a LOT of space between the sounds. I dont know if this is the bigger drivers or if the Arya has better spatial recreation than the Auteur
