(stupid) beginner question about connection

Hi everyone,

I was watching Zeos review of the Edifier S3000PRO and I’d like to know how he connects the speakers to the TV. He uses XLR cases and says that they go into his home theater system, but dors it means he connects directly to a receiver?

Is it possible to connect a powered speaker like that to receivers?

I hope this helps.
He has cables running through PVC pipes behind everything for cable management.
I’m not 100% what he uses but I know he has a mini dsp somewhere in the mix.

Yeah, I saw that on the video. I think the silver gear on the top is the receiver.
