「SOUND-SIGNATURE」
On default sound profile, it sounds like mild V-shaped sound. There is 8 sound presets to be choose from.

「BASS /LOW-END」
► The bass has a noticeable sub-bass biased to it. It is one of the those fast, snappy bassline that is fun to listen but not overwhelming bassy.
► The sub-bass have adequate extension but don’t expect a powerful rumbling and booming sublines coming. It just has enough sense of pressure and sustains to keep things mildly atmospheric.
► Upon transitioning onto mid-range, the bass gets lighter in presence, but the mid/upper bass sections proved to have good sense of attack. It ensures percussive hits to have good texture and impact.
► Kick-drums packs a satisfying punch. Meanwhile drum-strike may not be the fullest but its slams with good tactile feel.
► Bass-drop have good contrast. While ghetto bass effects have a decent bouncy feel. The bass response is kept tidy with no mud or bloat attribute.
Overall, the bass texturing is probably its key strength. It sounds organic yet fun.

「MID-RANGE /VOCAL」
► It has a neutral, laid-back sound. The vocal and instruments have good focus in the mix. They will sound more to the fore with decent level layering and texturing.
► Vocal and instruments have solid fundamentals. It has the right layer of warmth and body to avoid major thinning or hollow effect. They’re well densified overall.
► MALE/LOW-PITCHED: They’re are nicely weighted. They don’t sound overly thick and can sing powerful enough to deliver a good performance. Their vocal dynamic-range seems a tad broader than its female counterparts.
► FEMALE/HIGH-PITCHED: They does come across less expressive. It is warmer and darker in tone. It is not as liberating as some other Tanchjim would suggest. The intonation on vocals s are quieter and softer. It is not the breathy, airy type for sure. Such playstyle is suitable for those people who are sensitive to energetic upper mid-range.
► Piano taps sounds very natural. Guitar plucks sound uncoloured. However, violin does come across sounding more reserved in the background.
In short, it is a decent mid-range performer. It sounds smooth and safe for most people to enjoy.

「TREBLE / HIGHS」
► The treble is well-done. It rolls off nicely without feeling too bright or too dark. Air-extension is more subdued.
► With my average listening volume, the treble is smooth enough. However, once you crank-up the volume, the uneven peaks and trough will start to show up. But it is nowhere near detrimental. Sibilance control is not perfect, but it is well judged.
► Treble definition is to be expected of this tier. It is not particularly outstanding, but it is good enough to highlights those essential high elements. More importantly, it retains a natural timbre.
► Hi-hats have good clarity that sounds slightly higher pitched. Cymbals has a fine mixture of smoothness and crispness but lacks abit of that flowy quality. Drum-snare have good depth while e-guitar sounds engaging without any glare. As for synthesizers or electronics, they have a fair texture and weight to the way it zings, dings, tings and buzzes.
► If you’re a loud volume listener, the lower treble can sound a little too exciting. It is quite forgiving to low-fi tracks as it does not enhance the bad qualities of recordings.
All and all, it’s a solid performer. It is smoother and more refine than the original bunny which is a plus.

✧ ════ • TECHNICAL PERFORMANCE & OTHERS ASPECT • ════ ✧
▲ The STAGE is quite wide. It plays with more width than the height of it. As for the depth it is quite limited. It sounds more like 2.5D than 3D if that make sense.
▲ The IMAGING is more about left to right which is quite accurate with decent sharpness.
▲ INSTRUMENT SEPRATION is solid. Vocals and instruments are well laid-out without feeling too cramp.
▲ DETAIL-RETRIEVAL is up to its standard. It doesn’t feel low-res.
▲ DYNAMICS? It captures them well. It shows to have good flow of macro and micro-dynamics regardless of tracks.
▲ TONE & TIMBRE? It is tuned slightly better than the original Bunny. It tries to be fun while retain its naturalness across the range. It still had that classic dynamic-driver timbre that we all love from Tanchjim.
▲ DRIVER? It uses a detuned or tweaked version of the DMT5. By nature, the DMT5 is a capable driver. There is no sign of struggling when it is tested. It performs as well as it should.
▲ SYNERGY? The stock Type-C DAC can drive it well. But I’d replace the cable with 4.4MM BAL and uses my own DAC/AMP if I want to improve the sound quality even further.
▲ BUILD/PACKAGING/COMFORT: In person, it doesn’t look as cheap as the original Bunny. The smoked plastic shell plus the green accent does make it looks more up market. The stock cable is an improvement too. There is a small pouch and two types of ear-tips sizing from S to L just like the original.
▲ OTHER FEATURES: (via Tanchjim Android APP)

→ CONCLUSION ←
It seems like Tanchjim has optimized their entry-level budget segment to the best they can. Sonically, it is slightly more improved than the Original Bunny (analogue 3.5MM). It sounds smoother with a clearer treble response. With they Bunny G they pretty made it to be plug and play device that can be utilized not only for your music enjoyment but also for gaming and phone call. For just less than 30 bucks, it is an insane value for such an all-purpose beater set. Just buy if you need one.
