I like sriracha sauce…but do eat foods with chipotle powder a lot too. enough to make the back of my throat warm, but not pain inducing like my buddy who says it’s not ‘hot’ unless your scalp goes numb and you can’t feel it anymore.
It’s a pain thing…the endorphins and being able to actually taste the differences between hot chillis…what part of your mouth, lips and throat burn and in what order, how fast the chilli hits and how long the heat lasts or grows…but ultimately they all taste and hit differently and folk experience them differently too…be careful out there folks …
the inner masochist!!!
@Rinderkappajoe Bro chilli of the valley’s dope thank you for the rec …new order in and a couple of tee’s to show my valley love…
Man Mr Spicy is next level, a teaspoon in the gob is love it…Black Death is hot ’ish and lush, the Muscovado Sugar comes through but I didn’t get a whole lotta garlic
Nice, glad you like the COTV stuff!!
Damn those shirts are so nice, I also wanted to place an order and asked for a size chart but never got an answer from them so did not order anything…shipping is quite expensive to germany so I wanted to make sure to order the right size
Please let me know how you like the shirts and if they are true to size
Shirts are and seem well made plus they run true to size I’m an XL 48” chest and they fit me perfectly…oh and you also get a free bottle of sauce that corresponds to the tee shirt ordered which I didn’t realise so got 4 sauces (2 free with the tees) and 2 that I ordered lol…
Wanted to share my fave Sriracha with ya’ll. After going through a bunch, and actually liking Tabasco’s take on it, this one takes the crown as the current champ: Yellowbird Organic Sriracha
Not only is the flavor excellent, the tiny “chunks” actually add subtle bursts of flavor as you enjoy with your favorite choice to dip in it (or food you mix it into). This is a mainstay ingredient of mine when making chili.
After Huy Fong got greedy, I switched to Underwood Ranches. They were the people that grew the chilies that Huy Fong used until 2017. As I understand Huy Fong basically stopped paying them without notice, claiming they were overpaying, and when it got into the courts Underwood won a $23 million dollar ruling.
That’s crazy about Huy Fong but glad that Underwood Ranches came out on top and is doing their own thing. I like how they have spicy BBQ sauces and hot sauces, will have to give 'em a try.
This is a real nice ’n sweet hot sauce, I wouldn’t say HOT HOT but it has legs for sure but with that added sweet Pineapple touch…I use it on BBQ chicken, burgers etc…even on breakfast bacon …
Never seen purple peppers before, neat!
Nice, do you empty them so fast or just wanted to try new ones?
I do get through them lol…I have two half empty ones left in the fridge, I’ll finish them off first before opening any of these except the Ketchup…oh and my fav is Terror Sauce…Hot but not too hot with a nice sweetness going on in the background
You are a madman
Thanks for the rec!
Ok after working my way through quite a few Chilli of the Valley sauces here are my favs in no order…
- Wahthefah…a pure chilli beast, full chilli + flavour and that crazy chilli piquant smell from the get go…my go to for that hit, I’ve had hotter but this has taste balance
- Gonjiam…Another hot sauce that has way more character than their ‘Black Death sauce’ imo…it has a Slow building burn, with sweet molasses, ginger and soy undertones
- Terrorsauce…As stated previously but best let COTV explain…
We’ve teamed up with the thrash metal band Terrorcaust, who are releasing a new single on 28/10/2021 entitled “Southern Fried Suicide”. With their latest single in mind we got together and made up a batch of TERRORSAUCE - a maple syrup and Trinidad scorpion based hot sauce that isn’t for the faint of heart.
Terrorcaust are a 3 piece thrash metal band created by guitarist and vocalist Christian Reign Gray in 2009. With 3 EPs under his belt, is now introducing the first true line up in over 10 years. David Lanas on drums, Tom Joy on bass guitar and guest guitar solos from friends in the heavy metal community. Uniting with Daniel Kavanagh of ThisIsTheOceanUK who is producing, mixing and mastering the bands upcoming releases. They are a force to be reckoned with.
So a metal and chillihead rec - Finally…Gourmet ketchup a great smokey everyday ketchup with a tad of warmth
So this weekend I made from scratch chilli, and i started by putting tomatoes and young Jackfruit in the smoker for about an hour before i stewed them.
I used Underwood Ranches Sriracha for the kick, and used the last of my Marconi peppers and zucchini.
