Are you a human?-0TH-00JD-000R7--Product
$200 off DT1990’s lowest I’ve noticed before was $130 off
Edit: no idea what’s up with my link but it seems to be working
Beyerdynamic Amiron Home also has a code now. $350 off, making it around $350 which ties the cheapest its been on amazon according to CamelCamelCamel. I was looking at the Shipibo headphones (which have nothing online regarding how they sound btw), but now that these are off I might have to snag them.
Focal Elegia for $379 through email link
I’ll never not “like” this. I’m also surprised they’re not completely out of inventory by this point lol.
That is a great deal, but their HE6se V2 deal is lights out, IMO, If you have the right amp…
aside from your beastly iFi, what would you consider ‘beastly’ enough?
My experience with big or high end amps is very limited.
My Liquid Platinum with the Schiit Loki made an interesting combo that sounded pretty good.
My Violectric V220 was disappointing, but apparently the V281 and V280 do much better.
The Pro iCAN partners well, but the bass boost and 3D really push it over the edge for me.
ESS 422H – ESS Speakers USA
ESS 422H for $99, less than they ever got to on Drop - I believe.
Hefty, foldable, uber solid closed-backs with wooden cups and lots of metal.
Unique dual-driver implementation with AMT top-end and 40mm dynamic low-end.
Plenty of clamp and absolutely require pad swapping immediately. Join the brotherhood.
I’m not sure I’ve ever heard of these before…any good? also, is this ESS the same as the DAC mfr?
I’ve been an advocate for awhile, but it obviously comes with some caveats.
I don’t believe there’s a link, this is a US based company probably most famous for their Heil AMT. Not a deep headphone tradition here. But, I think the quality of materials is pretty high and there’s potential with the drivers. They just need a little finishing. I think they look awesome with Shure 1540 pads on them. Detachable single 3.5mm termination.
I know they’ll end up costing someone more than $99, but they just seem a lot more fun than the usual suspects in this range.
i feel like i remember zeos doing a video on them and showed that the stock pads cover half of the amt driver lol. seems insane that they’d ship them like that.
It’s a nice sized oval cup and they used pads with a small more circular opening that indeed covers up part of the AMT. Disastrous.
what is their soundstage like? my biggest dislike of closed headphones…and why I was was floored by the Stellia.
I don’t find it claustrophobic, and I sometimes get anxious with HD6__.
That said, I’m not sure that it’s any better than average, I don’t listen to closed-backs much.
I think plus instrument separation helps it seem a bit less congested.
Never heard the Stellias, but I’ll go ahead and vote that the ESS won’t quite compare. LOL
There is a 10.00 coupon for the TINHIFI T3 Plus iem’s on Amazon right now. Not sure how long the coupon goes for, but not a bad deal for those interested!
