I’ve heard a Hydra and really liked it. They seem like a good company. I just don’t understand spending that much on an amp, half-assing the paint job, and then just leaving it that way

I’ll be the outlier here and say I actually like that paint job. It’s a bit quirky without grabbing your attention. Unlike the iFi iDSD Diablo…
I’d have no real problem with it if he’d done a decent job of it.

yeah, same. But the fact that it looks like he ran out of paint or thought it looked good enough to stop as is is what drives me nuts

The fact the masking on the line wasn’t straight.
He appears to have spayed the transformer to the left, and gotten drips on it
the +/- scratches on the back
I mean it’s a terrible job.
