I snagged a r3 saber the other day when they were down to $178. The hiby I’d back up to $209 right now. So at least right now the hidiz is cheaper. Whether it’s a better device

aside from your beastly iFi, what would you consider ‘beastly’ enough? 
My experience with big or high end amps is very limited.
My Liquid Platinum with the Schiit Loki made an interesting combo that sounded pretty good.
My Violectric V220 was disappointing, but apparently the V281 and V280 do much better.
The Pro iCAN partners well, but the bass boost and 3D really push it over the edge for me.
