Good callout, I own the Loki and can confirm that is a solid unit. I typically buy headphones on mids and treble performance, because the Loki can typically fix bass issues easily. If you want hardware eq I think that, then the monoprice desktop amp, and then finally the rme adi2 are the only ways to go.
Lightning deal on HD600 @ $249.00:
HD650 also but more expensive @ $349.00:
Edit: Actually, don’t think HD650 really qualifies as a deal. But $249 is lowest ever Amazon price for HD600.
Elac Unifi for $330 on Amazon. Not the lowest, but very close.
The 600’s look different. Are all the new ones not grainy anymore? Same sound? Anyone know?
They had a change in build when they moved factories, same sound (no intended sonic differences), but the build quality did drop on them imo, they feel a bit cheaper and not as solid in the hand, but functionally they are the same
Got one! 15 minutes left lol
This is a pretty good deal, these are selling for 230$ new on ebay. and thats in the old ugly style
Missed this by one day… It’ll come back.
1MORE triple-driver is on sale for 124$ at Massdrop:
really great headphone i love it.
Sounds great, but it hurt a lot after 20 minutes or so… I returned it.
Was it overly bassy?
Bummer.
I was able to push them forward more on my ears so they didn’t hurt as much and wore them for 2 hours straight.
These are my second favorite headphones I have tried so far. Going to get them as my next pair at some point. Hoping to get an ifi Micro IDSD Black Label. They would be sick powered by that.
Nice
I admit its not as detailed as audiophile headphones but their range is awesome and they sound great
no its not overly bassy, a good amount
The bass is pretty fun, more enjoyable than the DT770 250 ohm imo. And the treble sounds more clear, less sharp. I think they have pretty accurate treble even though it is quite elevated. It does sort of feel like 2 headphones at once.
Yeah I would say it’s actually still fairly accurate and detailed in the low end for how much quantity there is.
oh its accurate lol. just not that resolving. you can play anything on it and it sounds good
Sound was very good, but my ears would hurt because on the clamp…
What I like them the most for is Electronic, EDM, all that stuff, and also a lot of metal sounds great too!
I think the DT770 250 ohm is better for things like classical or jazz, since it has more mids, but I would recommend something like the 58x or a warmer pair for that kind of music anyways.
