Already sold out! It was fast… Pretty good deal. I was tempted, but it doesn’t ship to Brazil (almost nobody ships to Brazil) and there’s a lot of bad things happening here, now our local currency is 1BRL = 5,6 USD. Crazy Crazy…

Really? I heard the V3 had a lot of hissing and interference issues, and suffered breakdown problems, but I was curious about it. I read that the V1 didn’t have as many of these complications. Would you mind giving your thoughts on it? I’m still curious how it compares to some of the other budget tube amps, such as the Little Bear B4/B4-X. Also I did read that the Ocean is a copy of the V2, which gets some positive feedback.

I got it bacause i liked the EQ on it. And it helped a little. But i was surprised how good it sounded for a little budget amp. it costs about 60$. But i loved it. I used to use my Sundara on it. Never had any problems but it could distort pretty easy if you turned the volume up

Cool, thanks for the info.

Interesting, so it played well with your planar Sundara? Does it add a hint of tube sound like a hybrid or sound like a full tube amp? Is the stock tube any good or does it need to be replaced?

I just remember listening to my music and it sounded so right. Like it used to. There was a fuller sound. I dont think it was dark either. So it just sounded good. It was a while ago when i first started getting into this. I was using a Schiit magni/modi back then. Wanted a tube amp ever since. It was a hybrid. not a otl. and the stock tube probably needs to be replaced, since its such a cheap amp. that Ocean amp should be pretty good. thinking of buying it myself.

You guys should know this is a popular amp. Bravo is considered a moderately good company. if you want a tube buffer i would get it.

Yea, a bit odd alright. Also with how I’ve heard that the su-8 doesn’t perform so great through rca comparatively to xlr. Possible they were just struck with odd circumstances. Maybe someone they know gave them the su-8 for free and so they just needed to find an amp and the atom was at the top of their budget.
