The DEALS thread

Do always have to pay import tax when you order from US?

It it slips pass the officials or mule brings it, no.
Other than that yes…

Zococity.es , headphoniacs.com , supersonido.es , novomusica.es for example.

Unfortunately headphoniacs.com is the only one that ships to Estonia.

Guys I have a question. Price of headphones have gone to their initial msrp from various manufacturers. Drop headphone went full price again hd6xx, hd58x, he4xx. Beyerdynamic headphones like dt1990 up to 550-600. Dt1770 was 380$ in amazon, now 420$. Sennheiser, well out of stuck and full price. Do you think this will be temporary or while we get out of the covid-19, or while sellers get more supplies from suppliers ( if they make any this past month).

Sennheiser G4me One’s on local Gigantti store. 99€.

That’s like 108$. Had to order a pair.

My guess is manufacturing has stopped or significantly slowed and stock may be getting lower

Guitar Center is having an overstock sale including:
iRig Mic HD $70 (down from $100)

Beyerdynamic Custom i $45 (down from $80)

Audiotechnica M8000 dynamic mic $30 (down from $80)

Yeah, there are some things that prices are going funny on right now. I’ve noticed webcams and game console controllers are pricing really high right now. I think as there are high demands for certain items and also manufacturing shortages we’ll see some interesting pricing going on. Probably not a lot of sales, but who knows.

Looks like the Rhythm Beige KPH30i’s are in stock - I know people have said it’s hard for them to get that color. I snagged a pair!

Review makes them look pretty solid. Excepting comfort it seems like they’re a really solid pair of cans.

The comparison to the sundaras is what sold me on em :stuck_out_tongue:

I mean… it looks like the grey KPH30is from the 90s… in a home where someone smoked 2 packs of cigarettes a day since the 90s :no_mouth:

Not for me lol, enjoy

Mini DSP ears RAW graph from head-fi:

So, sundaras are definitely better for the 10khz+ treble if you want “harman neutral” or “airy”.
4Khz peak to me looks like grado-ish treble murder. :man_shrugging:

um, the pair of pm-50s is $420 total (including shipping), the sundaras I own were $390 total. I think that’s a reasonable comparison. More money does not always guarantee it’s better either. Is it wrong to be slightly impressed or excited that the reviews so far say that the pm-50s (who are solidly in the sundara comparison price bracket) sound ‘better’ than the cans I currently own? That dripping sarcasm was a bit uncalled for lol

All I’m reporting is what I read. I have no other experience with the headphones. I’ll give as best a comparison as I can when I get them. I’m just excited that a team in massachusetts has built a possible sundara competitor in the same price bracket.

Well the team working for Andover seem to be pretty experienced.
