This is a dumb question but I need help

Finally, it’s working, after a trillion years. I gotta say, those instructions on github really stink, especially for technologically retardent people like me. Thanks a lot btw, you helped me a lot finding this thing and figuring out how to set it up

Nice! I have only installed this once so i was just grasping straws

I thought I was done, but instead I discovered that the levels of my stupidity is boundless :man_facepalming:. All that happened was that it became dark and I thought I was done and can finally start setting it up to look nicer. Then I looked on the github page for more instructions, and it mentioned an options tool. I have no options tool…

Try clicking (from the top) view>layout>
And see if there’s options for default and georgia, and change it to georgia if it was on default.

There’s also layout options in preferences: display>columns ui>layout

One last guess would be installing “spider monkey panel” component if you don’t have it

If these don’t work, then i have no idea what to do next

Edit. It might actually be the spider monkey panel component, since when the older georgia version used to crash, it was the UI that crashed and the problem was error in spider monkey. Try installing the component and see if it works

It is 6 years old but I followed it and made a theme to save it. It is 45 minutes, so just skip to what you need. It is great way to at least me it usable. I really like have the multi audio interface button setup and I do like the transparency.

I looked up the spider monkey panel and uh, there’s no download? what is going on…

Honestly I think it’s time for me to give up because this stuff is a nightmare for people who know absolutely nothing about code and just files in general. Thanks for the help though, at least I have night mode and album art, it’s good enough

I can’t see download button either.
I did found the component through github if you’re still interested.

Under the component download (where the download button should be but for some reason is not) there should be “home page” and it takes you to github. In github look for “releases” on the right side of the page. Click the “1.6.1 - hotfix” and then download just the component “foo_spider_monkey_panel.fb2k-component”

If this doesn’t work then we can give up :face_with_head_bandage:

Hey! I did a clean install of foobar and georgia reborn on my laptop (Win10), which did not have foobar installed before. The only extra components i installed were the columns ui AND spider monkey, and the theme works!

Installing the spider monkey component should fix your theme :sunglasses:
